Me and the RaspberryPi /4
A little update to my case for Raspberry Pi.
I found an acceptable solution to cover the USB socket.
I also increased the height of the space between the bottom and the floor to improve cooling (I’m not sure about that, but this is an attempt), and changed the shape of the HDMI aperture to better match the shape of the connector.
Only after rendering I noticed an error: there is interference between the SD card and the pins. It will be fixed on the next step, when I will also add some fixing hole on the bottom.
I hope that the added mass (that will increase the cost) will be balanced by the holes to be added. 😉
Asking questions are genuinely good thing if you are not
understanding anything fully, however this piece of writing gives good understanding
even.

Thank you very much for your work.
It’s pity that there is no Raspberry Pi to buy for now.
I am also a fun of this wonderful micro PC.

Hi Marco
I’m watching your progress with great excitement and I congratulate you on the work that you’ve accomplished so far especially without a Pi to test on!
When my device comes through I would be interested in your final design and cost for purchase.
Just a couple of thoughts –
1. Would it be possible to include some mounting holes on the underside of the case?
2. What about a flat blank strip where it might be possible to use double sided mounting tape?
Cheers!

Hi,
thank you for your feedback.
1. Actually (I have still a lot of time, unfortunately!) I’m still thinking about the bottom side. I’m planning to rearrange all, and to provide a sort of fixing system where to attach fixing brackets (small footprint and/or VESA Mount) as optional. I think also to provide the fixing system to be suitable to host screws so that you can fix the bottom before to fit the board.
2. This one was the first solution. Then I changed the bottom shape to get apertures. But I’m thinking to move the apertures and to restore the original flat surfacefor bi-adhesive tape.

Awesome!
1. Vesa mount sounds great. Easy on, easy off… Either that or a separate mounting plate like with many ADSL modems / routers?
2. Maybe 2 shorter adhesive strips rather than 1?
